Glorious Clay – Northern Potters Association

Coach House Art Gallery – Free entry

28th March to 21st April 2024

A new exhibition featuring the work of 28 ceramic artists will celebrate the life of the extraordinary surrealist painter Leonora Carrington.

Carrington, who was born in Clayton Green, Chorlye. oined the international surrealist movement in Paris in the 1930s leaving a lasting legacy of artworks and is now ranked as one of the world’s leading female artists.

This popular annual exhibition also allows visitors of all ages to have a go at making their own art use of free clay, tools, aprons and encouragement are provided.

There will potters in the gallery if visitors want a guided tour or more information about the exhibits.

Playing in the gallery will be Ceramic Review videos of professional potters.

The gallery is located next to  the Astley Hall Stables courtyard with seating served by Barrica in the Park selling wines, spirits, beers,  local sourced food and ices, and Café Ambio for hot drinks and meals.
