The weekend of Saturday 21 and Sunday 22 May will see Astley Hall reopen with a packed programme of entertainment and activities, such as dancing and singing, historical reenactments, actors in period costume, food and drink stands and much more!
Showcasing entertainment across the years from Bronze Age to Present day, acts will perform from 11am – 4pm on both days of the opening weekend.
The official opening of the Hall itself will take place at 12:30pm on Sat 21 by Sir Lindsay Hoyle MP. Those who purchase tickets at the Museum shop (available from 11am on each day) for entry to the Hall will be able to do so at their allocated time slot (every 15 minutes between 1pm – 4pm on Saturday and 11am – 3pm on Sunday).
There will also be a fabulous free exhibition in our Coach House Gallery, open from 1pm – 5pm on the Saturday and 11am – 4pm on the Sunday. ‘Behind the Render’ will give an exclusive look at all the behind the scenes work and techniques that have gone into the renovations of Astley Hall over the past 2 years!
Both day and annual passes will be available on the day for Adults, Children, Families and Concessions. Discounted rates are available for Chorley residents, please be aware that you may be required to provide proof of address when purchasing.
