Some of the most noticeable work has been the removal of the grey exterior render to the front of the Hall to reveal the original 17th century brickwork, new and renovation of windows, refurbishment of the front doors, a new museum gift shop and information centre at the Coach House building, plus strengthening of the main staircase, installation of an accessibility ramp and interior redecoration.
