Taking place in Astley’s Coach House Studio and Walled Garden, these welcoming sessions are suitable for beginners and experienced makers alike.

Workshops
Botanical Slow Stitching with Sorrell Kerrison
- Tuesday 28 July: 11am to 2.30pm
- Tuesday 4 August: 11am to 2.30pm

Suitable for ages 16+
Inspired by the colours and texture of Astley’s Walled Garden, this relaxed workshop combines gentle exploration, and embroidery. Create your own botanical-inspired piece using beautiful threads and take home your materials to continue stitching at your own pace.

Woven with Flowers with Natasha Emily Lynch

Create a beautiful floral wall hanging using seasonal flowers, foliage and natural fibres inspired by the gardens. Learn simple weaving techniques and leave with a unique handmade piece to display at home.

Sketchbook Stories with Angelica Vanasse

Suitable for ages 16+
Create a mini sketchbook and fill them with small stories that share our ideas, connections to place and appreciation for the living world. You can learn to create a simple folded sketchbook and have a go at drawing, collage and painting to fill it with colour, texture, pattern and symbols.
