Exhibition - Elemental Earth

'Elemental Earth' is inspired by naturem including  imagery of its beauty whilst also considering the damage caused by humans and the consequences of biodiversity loss and climate change. Pieces may also include personal or emotional responses as an interpretation of the theme. 

The work created by members of Ribble Creative Stitchers and Bolton Stitch and Textiles will reflect the many artisans around the world who use craft skills to make a statement about the planet or record its beauty. 

Techniques used will include: 

• Weaving 

• Eco printing 

• Botanical printing 

• Shibori and indigo dyeing 

• Felt making 

• Embroidery 

• Collage and applique
