Astley Alive: A fun weekend of interactive history at Astley Hall!
Astley Alive returns on Saturday 21 and Sunday 22 June and this time we're heading to Georgian times!
Travel around Astley Hall, meet characters from the Georgian period and learn all about their lives:
- Meet Sir Henry Philip Hoghton who lived at Astley Hall in the late Georgian period. He'll tell you all about his daily life and about the role of men in society at that time.
- Learn how to make a cup of tea ‘Georgian-style’. Spoiler – it involved a lot more than switching on an electric Kettle and a tea bag!
- Meet Lady Hughton’s servant and find out about the daily lives of wealthy women in Georgian England.
Entries to the Hall are every 20 minutes from 11am - 2pm - visits last approx 45 minutes to 1 hour
