The ground floor of Astley Hall is accessible to wheelchair users. The flooring on the ground floor is a mixture of flags (Great Hall and Kitchen area), wood (passageways and Morning Room) and carpet. Upstairs it has a mixture of wooden floors (all main rooms) and carpeted corridors.
There is no lift available inside of Astley Hall – additional information materials are available on request for those who are unable to access the first and second floors of the building.
There is no hearing loop system in place
Interpretation in rooms is set at appropriate heights according to museum guidance
Audio transcripts are available on request and video elements are subtitled
Background music is played on occasion in the Hall but can be turned off if requested
The Coach House
The Coach House building has a Radar bathroom on the ground floor. The key is available on request to those who require it from Cafe Ambio
A lift provides access to the first floor and Coach House Gallery
The Coach House Gallery is wheelchair accessible.
The Park
The surface underfoot from the car park to the Hall and Coach House is gravel or tarmac and is level
The terrain in the park is flat around the Hall itself, with some gentle gradients in the pathways through the park.
Main paths through and around the park are tarmac or gravel and wheelchair accessible
