Event Details

Inspired by a Peter Paul Rubens oil painting, found in Astley Hall archives, artist Klaire Doyle investigates the Epiphany and the journey of the Magi via contemporary craft and research.

The 6th January is the feast of the Epiphany which celebrates the visit of The Three Kings, also known as The Three wise men or The Magi, to baby Jesus where they endowed him with gifts of Gold, Frankincense and Myrrh. Klaire commemorates this Holy Scripture via ceramics, print and performance at Astley Hall gallery, above the café.

Klaire welcomes you all to her exhibition ‘The Adoration of the Magi’ 6th – 11th January 11am-3pm. Private viewing on request to klairedoyle@gmail.com 12th – 31st January.
